Henry Hyde
As Illinois Representative Henry Hyde was managing the impeachment hearings of President Clinton in 1998 as the chief House manager of Clinton's trial in the Senate, it was revlealed that from 1965 to 1969, Hyde, then 41, a state legislator, and married to Jeanne Simpson, had an extramarital affair with Cherie Snodgrass, a married mother of three. Hyde admitted to the affair, describing the relationship as a "youthful indiscretion."
